The Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Trials is one of the largest sheepdog competitions in the country attracting an audience of more than 15,000 spectators. The event, which features 50 of the world’s most competitive sheepdogs and handlers from the United States, Canada, Scotland and New Zealand, is held annually on Labor Day weekend. In addition to the competition, The Soldier Hollow Classic offers international food, drinks and products from the shepherding cultures including a barbecue by Utah Wool Growers featuring Utah lamb.
